The ambiance at Chapeze House, circa 1810 features the gracious manners and courteous ways that have characterized Kentucky gentlemen and Kentucky gentlewomen for over two centuries. The style of the Kentucky Bourbon Cooking School is very charming and very Southern.


Kentucky Bourbon Cooking School—Day Class
Spend the day with The Colonel and Margaret Sue and the Chapeze House staff at the Kentucky Bourbon Cooking School—Day Class. When you join The Colonel and Margaret Sue you will be treated to a tour of two outstanding Bardstown Bourbon attractions and you will participate in the Kentucky Bourbon Cooking School.

Cooking School ClassIn the Bardstown touring portion of the Kentucky Bourbon Cooking School, The Colonel and Margaret Sue will guide the class through tours of Kentucky Bourbon attractions, the Getz Museum of Whiskey History and the Heaven Hill Bourbon Heritage Center. Visiting these two Bardstown attractions allows the Kentucky Bourbon Cooking School student to gain an appreciation for the history and heritage of Kentucky fine aged Bourbon.

In the cooking class portion of the Kentucky Bourbon Cooking School, The Colonel and Margaret Sue will demonstrate five to six classic Kentucky Bourbon recipes. The class will participate in the preparation of these exquisite Bourbon flavored dishes. When the meal is complete The Colonel, Margaret Sue and the Chapeze House staff will serve the class. Cocktails that complement the menu will be passed.

The Kentucky Bourbon Cooking School, when coupled with tours of Bardstown historic and attraction sites, is about six-hours. The menu is seasonal and utilizes fresh Kentucky Proud® fruits and vegetables. The class is designed to accommodate 10-12 students. Groups may call for reservations.
